Broke but not broken

Hi ya,

If you are broke AF and trying to stretch out your visits to a hair salon, I have some hot tips for you babe! This is what I've used to survive 13 weeks without a salon visit.

I utilised my staff price hair before I went traveling and got far too many highlights for a lengthy departure of a salon, what a rookie.

Tip 1:  Lemon.  The natural cheap alternative to a hair toner, not just to add to your water. My hair quickly became brassy with the harsh waters of LDN and needed some cost effective remedy. I remember putting lemon in my hair before I went to dreamworld when I was in grade 9 and it successfully lifted my natural highlights a shade or two. There isn't a great deal of sunshine here so I just cover my hair in lemon juice, focusing on the brassy bits. (either freshly squeezed or a bottle of concentrate) and wash my hair out in the morning. Hey presto my hair is no longer tacky orange, its cleaner with biscuity tones.

Tip 2:  Coconut. For some reason my salon shampoo didn't make the cut in the suit case and I was reduced to buying Poundland products. Turns out there is actually a massive difference, who knew! After I've socked my hair and brushed threw the lemon juice I apply my multi purpose coconut oil. Perfect for the coconut tasting fried food, body moisturiser and my hair treatment. Apply from midlenghts to ends, this is strong. Wash it out in the morning for the softest hair a broke girl could ask for ;)

Honestly, my hair is at the same health and tone as what is was when I was working in the salon.

Thats my literal two cents worth on hair care.

keep it real
xx

missing you

I just called home for a little inspiration from Mumma. I swear we have had more phone conversations from London to Flagstone then we ever did when I lived 30 minutes away. I guess when its international you can get away with more regular calls about nothing.

The closing of the conversation was a little bit adorable.....

Me :     mum thanks for your inspo

Mum:   its all instagram

Me:      i love it!

Mum:  ohhhh it's a bit shallow

Me:      but it's making us happy.

Basically if we younger we would that young mother/daughter duo with matching outfits spamming your instagram feed. ;)
